Post a clear title like ‘Need help preparing PTSD claim’ or “VA med center won’t schedule my surgery”instead of ‘I have a question.
Knowledgeable people who don’t have time to read all posts may skip yours if your need isn’t clear in the title.
I don’t read all posts every login and will gravitate towards those I have more info on.
Use paragraphs instead of one massive, rambling introduction or story.
Again – You want to make it easy for others to help. If your question is buried in a monster paragraph, there are fewer who will investigate to dig it out.
Leading too:
Post straightforward questions and then post background information.
Examples:
Question A. I was previously denied for apnea – Should I refile a claim?
Adding Background information in your post will help members understand what information you are looking for so they can assist you in finding it.
Rephrase the question: I was diagnosed with apnea in service and received a CPAP machine, but the claim was denied in 2008. Should I refile?
Question B. I may have PTSD- how can I be sure?
See how the details below give us a better understanding of what you’re claiming.
Rephrase the question: I was involved in a traumatic incident on base in 1974 and have had nightmares ever since, but I did not go to mental health while enlisted. How can I get help?
This gives members a starting point to ask clarifying questions like “Can you post the Reasons for Denial of your claim?”

Most Common VA Disabilities Claimed for Compensation:
You’ve just been rated 100% disabled by the Veterans Affairs. After the excitement of finally having the rating you deserve wears off, you start asking questions. One of the first questions that you might ask is this: It’s a legitimate question – rare is the Veteran that finds themselves sitting on the couch eating bon-bons …Continue reading
I am new here and trying to figure out where to post this help. I just recently fired because of PTSD where 2 young people fabricated a story cohorted by the president of the company when I told him I am diagnosed PTSD. I have found all these charges when I applied and accepted a position in L3 Communication as an Aviation Tech. Of course after finding out the offer was declined.
The charges were 4 terroristic threats and 1 retaliation. I haven't seen the police report as of this time. The date I was fired was April 16 and I retained an attorney on May 18th for $15K.
I went to jail on May 21 and bailed myself out. I have a feeling that my attorney knows the president of the company who fired me. My Lawyer haven't done anything since I retained them and we live here in a very small town [bonham, Trenton- TX] where everybody knows everybody.
I think the Police Officer are also a friend of the president for I have been to jail without interogation, and have a warrant for my arrest.
I feel that my right is violated as an employee and a citizen.
My unemployment was denied as well.
I have a lot of proof about those two youngsters to discredit them. They have videos in youtube where they burn a live snake, created a bomb and drinking while they were underage. I also have the proof from the president who fired me upon his discovery of PTSD and decided to fire me.
It sounded like an easy case but getting complicated.
I'd like to hire another lawyer who is trustworthy and will defend me. Any recommendation on Lawyers around Dallas? Any free lawyers for vet?
Please help, my money situation is so low for no income.
