This statement appears in many BVA claims for peptic ulcer:

"The Veteran experienced chronic stomach problems during

service, continuous symptoms of peptic ulcer disease after

service separation, and competent evidence relates the

currently diagnosed peptic ulcer disease to service."

Inservice nexus in SMRs,

continuous treatment records,

medical evidence of current disability related to the inservice ulcers.

Have you had a recent problem with your esophagus or stomach? Has the peptic ulcer been acting up lately? Due to your age, I'm guessing it's been a long time since you were in the service. Have you filed a new claim based on your present condition?
