Complex Ptsd

When a death incident was reported that the DoD or Captain covered up, for what ever reason, the person who witnessed the incident, especially if the person was involved in some way, will undoubtedly be stuck in an indelible loop within the unconscious mind that will haunt, for the duration of the victims life.

Add several of these misreported incidents and the loop becomes complex. Complex PTSD is not even being diagnosed by the VA or DoD. The VA has left the VET with the "just give us one stressor" proof. Put a cucumber in a vat of brine. When is the exact point at which the cucumber becomes a pickle, and prove it.

The VET with Complex PTSD, is left in a life of confusion, anxiety, depression, and the feelings of being overwhelmed with a past that will not and can not be corrected.

The least amount of witnesses, in a combat death, increases the spin on the final death incident report.

Under reporting or misreporting service deaths, for what ever reason, should considered be an "act of treason", no matter how far up the ranks or how many people the decision of the act should go.

It is my opinion, that this is one of the reason for a million back-logged VA claims and increase in suicides.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

If the Complex PTSD victim can somehow manage to go into a one person business that can accommodate their their condition and chronic sporadic lapses into the twilight zone, until collapse or at least 55, then this person should be given a medal. This is the easiest way to live with PTSD, if at all possible. Government has give toothless rules for VETS, in small business, to make this way of life possible. (No-social life)

If the Complex PTSD victim works in regular job with all of the BS and politics of a regular work environment, until the persons mind collapses, this person should be given a medal and held in the highest esteem of the entire country. I don't see how this can be done, and I could not work a regular job. (A possible partial social life)

JMHO.

This is all fresh in my mind, as my doctor has changed a medication that I have been taking for four years. The change in sleep meds has caused my right leg to start jumping around again, keeping me awake. The circle of sick-ass dreams has started all over again. I don't think this Alprozolam is helping me sleep at all. I have been in the twilight zone for several weeks.

But there's nothing they can do about the guy I tried to help in a car accident while in Germany....car on fire, I reached in to grab him, pulled him back and he had no face left...or the letter bomb I intercepted for my boss so to this day I still carefully check each piece of mail that I open...or that for 8 years I had to check my car for extra wires (car bombs) before I got in it and I still do it to this day.

Nope, the VA is clueless as to how to "fix" these things. Bottom line is, they can't be fixed....along with all of the other stressors.

I believe the VA thinks of oxycodone, vicodin and oxycontin as potential recreational drugs. I know the state of Florida and DEA think that those drugs and xanax as being drugs that are likely to be abused. If it was up to the DEA nobody would be able to get anything for pain or anxiety. Really, the pain doctors and shrinks are almost scared to death of the DEA. The future is going to be grim for pain patients and those suffering from panic who need drugs on the list. Do you have to take random urine tests for the drugs you take? What they want to know is if the drugs are in your system since the believe that all of us are selling our drugs for money. Oxycontin was invented to provide long lasting pain relief for those wiht chronic pain. Due to abusers my VAMC is highly reluctant to prescribe it. The VA prescribes morphine and methadone instead. These drugs turn your stomache inside out and your intestines to concrete. Oh, of course, they are cheap as well. If it was me I would get a private shrink and pain doctor on board now before the DEA makes things so difficult that they stop taking new patients. If you have a drug you really need then you need a supply that can't be cut off on the basis of the VA's whims.

Stretch-

Wow...I know exactly what you mean as that's me exactly. My PTSD comes from several incidents all happening within a short period of time, most I have not spoken about here. And that is exactly what happened when I tried to work after being discharged...there were days I would just up and leave work and not return; it's amazing I was never fired.

I've read quite a bit on Complex PTSD and each time I do I'm like "that's me".

As a member of the step over dead bodies group, as well as trying to run through a mine field, under fire, and having friends blown up all around me. And much more complex incidents that I don't wish to share on the Internet, I think I'll follow this thread.

Also, as a cancer survivor, and although I am not addicted to any pain pills, I can appreciate the use of them when needed

My last two cents. I believe that anyone who suffers pain should be allowed to use appropriate pain medication until they are found to abuse it or sell it or break one of the millions of laws that our dear crooks in Washington make to protect pharmacies profits and legalize Doctors to be the Gods who decide who gets what.

I would like to see most of these drugs dispensed by a Federal Drug Store at 4 dollars a copay.

The original doctor who originally prescribed the sleep medication put me through several trials before settling on the right one. I have had several doctor changes, over the last four years, and when a new doctor comes into the picture then they seem to want to change things all around (experiment with cheap stuff or something) all over again.

It will probably take me a month to get this all straightened out and back to stable. I am kicking my own ass because I just flat forgot such an important thing, and then I just went along with the Doctor.

Just found this.

Here is an article about a downed Navy pilot Captain in 1991, story just out today, that partially explains one of the mysteries of the DoD system of writing death reports.
