Question

Hello, i'm new here and heard about this site from another Vet. I am service connected for depression 70% and ibs 10%.
I had a recent exam for increase in my IBS. The examiner stated that after reviewing my VA medical records my chronic diarrhea with nausea had become refractory and likely to continue. I'm confused on the word refractory and is this good for my chances for increase?
Thanks for all help,
Jim
