Meds And Iu

i have recently applied for iu and ssdi my va psych doc has me on fluxotene and lithium do the meds you are given have any weight in a iu or ssdi decision? i have not worked in 4 months at all either i am rated at 90% and 170% by regular addition... does that carry any weight? thanks

Meds-no.

Regular Math-no.

The fact that you haven't worked....only if your doc(s) wrote about it in the letters that were submitted to the VA. If no physician wrote anything to support it....not good.

i was in voc re-hab and the fellow in charge is writing a letter saying i am better off not working. does that carry any help?

Yes, it should carry weight. He needs to say that because of your SC disability that Voc Rehab is not going to help you, and you are unemployable.

okay so i just come out and request he put that in his letter? what about my psych doc at the va that i see . does he put things in his talks with me that may carry weight in this? thanks

Yes. Physicians need to write letters on your behalf stating that you are not able to work due to your SC condition(s). The letter should be brief but strong.

as far as employers go my last employer said he would help with this any way he can.what should his letter say again thanks
