Those ladies who have undergone a hysterectomy while in service need to read V.A. Office of General Counsel Precedent Opinion 5-89. Also men who have developed loss of use of or anatomical loss of a creative organ while in service need to read V.A. Office of General Counsel Precedent Opinion 5-89.

I read it but I still do not understand it. Is this saying that elective steralization qualifies for compensation under any condition?

Or

does this mean that loss of a creative organ after prior elective steralization qualifies one for compensation?

It generally defines that the loss of a creative organ after preexisting elective sterilization qualifies one for compensation. The preexisting condition was worsened during service.

Otherwise the rest deals with retro pay and how the appeals will be handled.
