Is This How The Process Goes?

Question

i requested 100 % iu and am currently rated at 90% 30% right hand 30% left hand 20%left foot 20% right foot for frostbite 10%broken clavicle 10% tinnitus and 50% major depression . the va just made appointments for all all of these issues for me. my question is . is this how the iu process works? i have also applied for ssdi and am currently seeing the va shrink on a regular basis and am a little wary of talking to a new shrink as i am very bad at talking to people i dont know. thanks for the help folks god bless

Yes, exams for increase and/or tdiu are normal. After the exams they will go back to the development team, once developed they go up to the rater then after rating the authorization level. It shouldn't take too long after your exams are done with depending on if there favorable. My last one took about 3 months from exam to official award.

Yup, that's how the process goes.

Keep in mind that the VA and Soc Sec are separate entities, but you need to share info between them. In other words, just because you might get an approval from one, doesn't gurantee an approval from the other. Best of luck.

when i first got the 50% depression rating i started seeing the va shrink on my own to finally start getting some things squared away. he said i am much worse than the rating shrink said. i am really scared to bare my soul to someone i dont know. what should i do when i see the iu rating shrink??

Bring in a list of your problems so you don't forget anything. Also bring in any medical evidence you have showing the severity of your depression. Have you provided the VA with your private shrink medical notes?
