How Long To Get Copy Of "c" File?

Rate this question

Ken1

Question

It has been two years since I filed my 21-526.

In August 2009 I files my NOD.

In August 2009 I requested a copy of my "C" file and still waiting?

My local VSO is no help he is appointed by the county government board, family connection.

An Attorney told me that I should not use any of my state political aids, that would just red flag my file and slow it down.

This has been a very discouraging process and even more difficult to stay motivated to push your claims.

Thanks for any replies

I appreciate it. I was hoping to gain a point of reference.

Thanks!

I went back to VRO 3 months after asking to view file and they had no record of my request.

I submitted another request and was able to view C-file the next week.

Getting a copy might have taken much longer, and most of the info in there I didn't need (2 big folder's worth).

A rep sat with me and explained some terms, and made copies of the few things I needed.

I'm glad I just Viewed my C-file instead of waiting for the copy.

If your file isn't local I understand that would be a problem.

Good luck!
