"Implications of the Department of Veterans Affairs PTSD Rule-Making"

The purpose of the roundtable will be to discuss recent regulatory changes VA has proposed that would liberalize the evidentiary standard regarding stressor determinations for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and impact the way in which it administers 38 United States Code (USC) § 1154{b}.

...38 United States Code (USC) § 1154{b}...

Thanks Stretch, your posts on this subject will help me with my appeal. I was originally awarded a PTSD type rating in the 1970's, before PTSD was recognized as a disability. Long story, RVN combat related. Last year, when I applied for CRSC retirement pay from the army, I was informed that my code# was not correct. I wrote the VA and request them to change the DC # to reflect PTSD. This caused a new claim to be generated by the VA and then I was promptly denied. LOL. Although there will only be about a ten dollar a month increase in my army retirement pay, I am surprised that the VA wouldn't just correct the obsolete misdiagnoses. Now it's a NOD big hassle. I do wonder about the other Vietnam vets who were misdiagnosed before PTSD was recognized???
