Question

I have another comp and pen here in a few days at the VAMC, and just happened to be notified by social security that they are also going to send me for an exam. Do the two federal enities ever work together on anything? My VA doctor has sent them a letter explaining everything from GAF scores to medication and given his opinion on the matter. I have never had a mental exam from either so if anyone has, please let me know how they differ. Does a social secuity doctor have any business talking to me about the past, I mean in detail? I'm sure the VA docs are used to it but how are the social security docs dealing with military matters? Do I need to discuss my childhood with them. Why two seperate test when SS has been using VA records the entire time? Anyone got advice or pointers if you have had both test?
