Question

Hi all, I got a call yesterday from my VARO requesting the verification of two of the three dependents; she said that she had two of the SSN's mixed up, and told me the SSN's which were correct. I told her that I would have to call back after I asked my wife where they were. So, I call my VA to verify that the call was legit, it was.

Now this morning at 06:40 the phone rings, so my wife answers, hands me the phone, and it's the VA wanting to verify the SSN's and DOB's on my dependents. After I did that she asked if I wanted to know the decision...I said well, yeah that would be nice...50% for PTSD and that they had given me TDIU with insurance and education benefits, with the EED date of Feb. 2006, date I opened claim.

After I was fully awake I had several questions I would like to have asked her...

I don't believe it until I get it in writing...and see some $$$ in my bank account...I can't afford emotionally to be let down.

I did an IRIS to see if they have anything in the system.

I wanted to know if others had been called so early to verefy something that the VA has had for years and years?

Fingers crossed, but just not too tight...
