Advice On Non-combat Ptsd Claim

Question

Hi all. I've read this forum for a while but just joined to post. I submitted a claim for PTSD based on the following stressors:

1. Got exercise induced asthma on a run with my CWO and when I got back to the shop, passed out and hit a wall locker on the way down with my head. Miss-diagnosed with "reactive airway disease" and made to continue PT. I can only describe this like almost drowning every other morning at 5:15am

2. Harrassment (non sexual, just mean) from a Sgt. in one command

3. Was Sgt of the Guard in Oki during a bomb threat at the mail room and had to post Marines (and myself) in the projected blast radius.

4. Sent to Oki my last year without my wife and newborn son

5. Was in Oki during 9/11 (didn't go anywhere, but we sure thought we were!)

I had a bad breakdown in '04 (I got out like, 18 months before that) started having symptoms while I was in and it just boiled over. They denied my claim but this is what they said, I have PTSD as far as getting treatment is concerned, but not compensation, because of a lack of service connection. I submitted a NOD and am waiting back, but I don't know if my NOD is going to carry any weight, and I'd love advice on what to do. I kind of feel like I'm getting a bum rap because my PTSD is non-combat related. Any ideas?
