Question

GOT ONE OTHER QUESTION

I JUST GOT APPROVED FOR DENTAL IMPLANTS BUT IM A LITTLE WORRIED HERE DOES THE VA PAY FOR ALL OF IT OR DO YOU HAVE TO APPEAL THAT ISSUE IF THEY DONT PAY FOR ALL OF IT

I HAVE NOT SEEN THE APPROVAL VOUCHER YET JUST CALLED AND THEY LEFT MESSAGE SAID IT WAS APPROVED

"APPROVED" UH OH THAT TRIGGERS " A RED LIGHT CHALLENGE "

APPROVED IN VA TERMININOLOGY MEANS

IF THE BILL WAS $ 9000 VA WILL ONLY PAY 1 / 2 "MOST LIKELY AS NOT" VA WILL PAY ONLY 1 / 4, YEA NOR NEY?

ANY INPUT OR RECENT PROBLEMS HERE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

THANK YOU

my ptsd is from another issue

but i would like to know in the outpatient area if they va will pay for my implants since i am 100% schedular

they said they would

but i heard they only pay a portion

thks grent

have you gone to the VA dental clinic and asked them about it? They should have a dentist there that can do it, if not then they should pay for outpatient care all of it you said you got approval from whom and how was your request worded will the VA pay for implants if I am 100%? then the answer is yes but can you just up and go to a dentist without a VA authorization for fee basis care NO you will get stuck with the bill you have to ask the right question of the right person or you could end up mad with a large bill to pay

If you meet their criteria they will. You have to ask first. Don't count on it I asked and I don't drink or smoke and they said no

'if your TDIU is based on a mental health rating then you are not going to get another % awarded for PTSD they will only compensate for one mental health problem I have OCD and PTSD they SC me 100% schdular for PTSD and ignored the OCD completely which doesn't matter they will only pay me for the most prevalent mental health problem my PTSD is worse than my OCD then they turned around after the BVA awarded me CAD and hypertension and rather than keep fighting with me about it they awarded me 100% and housebound which is still SMC S then put 60% on my CAD and 10% on the hypertension but since they don't issue but one S award fighting with them over the fact they should have granted me 100% CAD since my ejection fraction is 25% and I have 2 bypasses that failed and 2 stents that have collapsed and can't be repaired and my SSD is based solely on CAD, the RO was wrong in making my CAD at 60% but there are points where you can't get more money from them so why clog the system with claims that are not going to improve your compensation if you are SC for a mental health problem at TDIU then you are wasting your time and the VAs trying to get PTSD service connected despite what caused it most of us have multiple stressors and multiple mental health problems but they don't pyramid payments on the same body system they will award the highest rating and ignore the rest.......

If the VA will do the implants then get them done. They cost over $3000 bucks from start to finish otherwise. It took me about a year to get mine done from start to finish. The VA refused to do mine saying it was not medically necessary. I did not trust my dentist to do it anyway so I went to a well known private specialist to do it. My implants are rock solid with no complications.

No implants here yet. I am SC for TMJ and grind the hell out of my rear teeth. They did not give me implants, because of the amount of bone loss beneath the second molars when the Army hosed up my third molar extraction and the fact that I grind like crazy. Instead, they installed several gold crowns and made me a bulletproof night guard to wear when I sleep. Also, they won't give me porcelain fillings in the rear teeth. They said I would shatter them within a couple of weeks. Instead, I get the silver fillings back there. They did say that they would install implants if I started losing my front teeth. I'm category 1 with the dental team. I think they are choosing to be realistic in my case.
