At The Rating/review Board

Rate this question

Question

I applied for IU/PTSD April 2009 and at that time was at 30%.

The review board has received "all" info needed on Dec. 10th 2009.

Any idea how long it takes to make a decision once the board gets everything?

This question/answer is probably here somewhere, I searched without results.

Also, if awarded, does the retro check come at the same time?

God Bless

JOHN!,

VA101 - they have no set time limits - only claimants have time limits.

Even tho they have stated,

"The review board has received "all" info needed on Dec. 10th 2009.",

a decision maker - at any time - can and may request additional

develpoment on the issue/s.

Hopefully it won't be much longer - but any guesstimate of a time line

is nothing more than speculation.

If additional compensation is granted- the money will not come at the same

time that the Rating Decision is promulgated.

It usually takes a bit more time.

If you have an account for VA direct deposit at a financial institution,

it usually arrives faster than if they cut a check and mail it to you.

jmho,

carlie
