Just Received My Final Determination

All,

I just received my "final" determination and it states "We assigned a permanent 100% disability evaluation for your service connected disabilities effective March 1, 2009." My question is, since they used the word "permanent" does that mean I don't have to worry about them trying to call me in for follow up physicals over the next few years and trying to reduce me back down below the 100% level?

Have you applied for SSA disability as well?

The SSA web site has the criteria for that and this award should help if you are eligible for SSA.

Check your states web site for more bennies-CHAMPVA for the family is a fabulous benefit.Chap 35 is too-

One of my best friends- Vietnam Combat, 2 PHs, PTSD, AO cancer SC , 100% P & T ,SMC etc etc-for almost 10 years- got a letter for a re-evaluation- and he went ballistic-

I helped his wife prepare a letter to the VA. They dropped the evaluation idea.

Dont worry about the future.You did Very well on the claim.

Guys and Gals,

Ya'll got me worried. I do work and make a substantial income. It says that its permenant but says nothing about total. When I called the VA they said I was 100% schedular disabled and it was ok to work as long as I want. Is this true? I don't want to do anything to screw it up.
