Violent Kicking While Sleeping

I have had lazy leg for several years and take medication for it, but in the last few months my wife tells me that while I'm asleep I kick very violently. The other night I was kicking her so hard that her and our little weinie dog had to jump out of bed for safety. I was kicking her in her back very hard. Has anyone had this happen to them?

A sleep study might be a good start. They will hook you up to all sorts of wires and also use a camera to monitor you during your sleep to see if you are running the 50 yard dash in bed. It helps determine if you have restless leg, sleep apnea, or some other sleep ailment. Restless leg can be treated with medication.
