Question

I am glad to find this forum, I hope I am posting this in the right place.

Retired over 2 years ago after long battle to stay on active duty (hemiplegic complex migranes migranes). Had a variety of other issues (knee, back, etc.) Have had cognitive problems for some time, memory loss, difficulty with concentration... but mostly my problem is that I can not drive, or function with the head achs.... which have gotten worse and worse over time. I do not work, and can not schedule things because I never know when I will be able to drive or even leave a dark room. I have had sleep problems for some time (not rated, but mentioned in the rating for the adjustment disorder).

Rated at %50 for migraines, and 30% for 'adjustment disorder'. With other ratings have been rated at 80% since 2007.

I got a call this week to schedule appointments for mental health exam, and doctors review. As I understand from calling the VA my headaches and adjustment disorder are being re-evaluated and that this is normal.

1. Should I be worried? What will this appointment be like? What do I need to bring?

2. In ongoing efforts to find relife my Dr. has discontinued one of the medications I was on to decrease the frequency of the headaches, in an effort to help with the memory problems.... no improvement. Will it likely matter that I am no longer taking a one of the meds I was on?

3. Dr. also had me do a sleep study to see if the sleep problems were related... Dr. dxed Sleep Apnea, and I am no CPAP... no improvement in the headachs or sleep (actually makes the sleep problems worse). Should I mention this? Should I re-file for the Sleep apnea? I am confused, and the stress is not helping me....

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
