Should I File A Claim?

Rate this question

Question

I was in the Navy from 1985 to 1989 and was on a ship from 1986 to 1989.

When I went in the navy I weighed about 155 lbs. When I got out I weighed

about 115 lbs. At the end of my term I had a lot of anxiety which culminated

into a going to the E.R. for a full blown panic attack 3 years after my

discharge. I was on medication for anxiety and depression after that for

about 13 years. Currently I am not on any medication but still have panic

attacks with some depression. I also have been suffering from some Vertigo

and have to take Dramamine as it can be difficult to function being so dizzy.

Would it be worth it for me to file?

Well the obvious answer is, it wouldn't/couldnt hurt. But you will need strong documnetation to back up your claim such as medical records from the Navy, and the VA if you have any from them. You will also need to prove how your current or ongoing medical conditions are military related, i.e. a specific incident, which may have caused you to be suffering now.

Good Luck! :)
