Question
Josephine
I will give you a brief synoposis of my granddaugher, 22 years of age.
Two attempted suicides, DOA by Judge to Mental Institution. November 2009.
Near fatal auto accident 2004.
25 jobs since 18.
Filed for Social Security disabilty. Her denial.
The evidence shows that you do have back pain and muscle spasms.
However, records do indicate that you have any severe muscle weakness or loss of control
due to nerve damage.
You do have mental conditons that affect your ability to perform some types of activities.
However, you should still be able to take care of your personal needs, follow simple
instructions and perform simple common routine work.
Records indicate that you are being treated for other medical conditions.
However, these conditions do not severely limit you from performing your normal daily task.
We find an adult is disabled if there is a physical or mental conditon that prevents you from
working.
The disabling condition(s) must last (or be expected to last) at least 12 months
in a row, or be expected to to result in death.
The evidence shows you have some restrictions.
However, based on your description of your past work as a sub sandwich maker, it is concluded
that your restrictions do not prevent you from performing that type of work.
Therefore, you do not meet the requirements for disability benefits.
In deciding this, we considered the medical evidence, your statements,
and how your condition(s)
affects to work.
If your condition gets worse and keeps you from working, write,
call or visit any Social Security Office
about filing another application.
