HadIt.com Elder jbasser Posted May 15, 2010 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 15, 2010 No. Lottery winnings, Horse racing winnings, rental property ( That you have someone else manage), is considered passiv e income and not earned income so please play responsibly. HadIt.com Elder Pete53 Posted May 15, 2010 HadIt.com Elder Share Posted May 15, 2010 Anything on a W2 or a 1099 that indicates regular work will hurt. Social Security, investments, gifts and other money does not count. If you own 100 rent houses they don't count either unless you are acting as a Manager and not an owner
