The Automated Veteran's 800 Line

i would like anyone's response to this question.

i have received my back pay and am scheduled to begin receiving my monthly dic check on july 1st. i call the 800-827-1000 and go through all the prompts and apparently i am not in the system yet. is this normal?

i was approved on june 9, 2010. i was just wandering as i would like to use the veteran's automated line instead of calling the agents.
