ptsd Life Insurance While Waiting For Dic

Hi all:

I am T&P for PTSD for 8 yrs now.

I am 58.

Would a private life insurance company insure me even though I have PTSD?

I ask this because I am concerned about the time that it will take for my wife's DIC claim to be approved.

Larry -thank you VERY much-I learn something new here everyday-

My husband got a 100% P & T award 3 years after he died and someone told me I should apply for his retroactive insurance benefit. I never did because that didn't make sense-as in his lifetime he was only 30% and VA never sent any insurance application.

Then again he had the regular VGI and converted it to private insurance when 20 years from discharge had passed.They might even have had service connected policies then from the VA.
