Tbi Ptsd Question

Question

Hi all, I was rated under the old system for my TBI, they called it brain syndrom. I was rated at 50%. I have been diagnosed for PTSD and also I get severe headaches. I have requested a new sc for PTSD, and headaches, which were included in my old rating. I am nervous. Is my older rating preserved at 50% if they rate my TBI and PTSD under the new law? I am currently 80% total however put in for an increase today.

Thanks

So confused~

Pookie,

Prior to answering your question, please call the 1-800 VA number and ask what

Diagnostic Codes you are rated under - what percentage for each one and the effective date of each one.

You will probably have to wait until Monday to do this.

Hi again,

8045-9304 50% effective 2002

5255 left femur 20 2004

5010 degen joint disease 10 2004

8520 loss sensation left thigh 10 2004

5295-5292 low back spasm 10 2002

6260 tinnitus 10 2002

7614 loss use 10 2002

Hope this helps! Thank you. I opened a claim for ptsd, depression, a bad scar, and severe headaches today all which I am being treated for at the VA. I am wondering if this was a mistake, I get nervous.

Thanks again
