Question

Hello again!!! we are waiting for the decision on my husband TDIU claim, 40% fibro, 30 % ptsd (going to clinic for 2 weeks), 20% foot. Total 70%. We received in the mail a letter saying that " we are writing you as the parent of a boy or girl who may be eligible for Eduacational Assistance under laws administered by the Veterans Affairs Administration. The enclosed pamphlet describes this benefit...."

So my questions is, Why do they send the letter and pamphlet???

Has anyone receive this information before getting the TDIU awarded????

Thanks for all the help....

My VA service connected disability was finally approved after 20 years of long battle and get the letter from the BVA and it was granted the introduction page it is stated that the issue of entitlement to a total disability rating based on individual unemployability (TDIU) due to service connected has been raised by the record, but has not been adjudicated by the Agency of Origin(AOJ. Therefore, the board does not have jurisdiction over it and it is referred to the AOJ 100 % disable by the SSS since 1997 and that is part of my evidence that is wht my connected disability was granted. My question is why I was not rated TDIU 100% disability by the AOJ. Do I have to apply for TDIU separate or what Please help.

I have no idea why you weren't rated 100% by the AOJ. I know nothing about your claim, so why would I or anyone else know why?? This was your first post, here. You could apply for TDIU, now, but you might should wait until the AOJ contacts you, as directed by the BVA, as this may insure an earlier date of claim. Apparently it's inferred in your claim, previously, and applying now might screw that up. jmo

Jammyray,

Welcome.

You need to copy and paste your question as a new topic in the

Claims/ Benefits Research Forum.

When you just post a question into another persons topic it screws up their topic

and doesn't get you many answers either.
