The NAVMC 118 is usually on each page of your SRBs Service Records-

(for Navy and Marine Corps) The AF -7 is an Air Force form-

It is separate from your SMRs Service Medical Records.

You said:

"I HAVE A RATING DECISION IN 1993 VA NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT "

I am assuming this was a NSC rating?

Do you have all of your service medical records?

I think you were in two different branches of service?

This will take two separate submissions to NARA for those med records from each branch.

Frank -NSC means non-service connected-

but it sounds like you believe they gave you an award- a service connected rating?

but you never found out? I dont put anything past them-but where did they mail the comp checks?

I suggest Frank- that you go to:

http://www.archives.gov/ and click on Military Service Records-

and you can fill out the SF 180 forms right on line or print out the form. You will need one for each branch and make sure that you sign the bar code thing that you need to print out one for each request.

And then mail where they say to---- this is if you feel there may be more service records available to you.

I would not wait for these records to file the claim, however.

THANK YOU AGAIN> THE RATING OF 1993 IS NOT A NOC THIS IS A UTHORIZED TO SERVICE CONNECT ME FOR HEARING LOSS > RATING STATS REOPEN CLAM: A CLAIM I OPENED IN 1978. VA NEVER GOT IN TOUCH WITH ME ABOUT THIS RADING. IN 1994 I AM GIVING A NOC. I ALSO HAVE COPY OF MEDICAL RECORDS FROM NAVY STATING CONDITIONS I DON:T HAVE. A VA DOCTOR GIVES ME A EXAM AND HE STATES THE SAME THING AS NAVY IN 1994 NO MATTER WHAT WHAT RIGHT DOES VA HAVE TO KEEP ANY INFORMATION FROM ME . IS THERE A LAW SOMEWHERE THAT WOULD APPLY TO THIS? THIS HAS BEENING GOING ON A LONG TIME I KNOW I DON:T HAVE A HEART CONDITION BUT THE NAVY AND THE VA DR CLAIM I DO . ON TOP OF THIS WHOLE MESS VA STATES NO RECORDS FOUND . BUT THE RECORDS WERE FOUND FROM VA SENDING ME RECORDS I ASKED FOR ALL RECORDS WERE THERE STILL VA STATS NO RECORDS FOUND

    Have Questions? Get Answers.

Tips on posting on the forums.

    1. Post a clear title like ‘Need help preparing PTSD claim’ or “VA med center won’t schedule my surgery instead of ‘I have a question.

    2. Knowledgeable people who don’t have time to read all posts may skip yours if your need isn’t clear in the title.
I don’t read all posts every login and will gravitate towards those I have more info on.

    3. Use paragraphs instead of one massive, rambling introduction or story.

Again – You want to make it easy for others to help. If your question is buried in a monster paragraph, there are fewer who will investigate to dig it out.

    Leading too:

exclamation-point.pngPost straightforward questions and then post background information.

    Examples:

    • Question A. I was previously denied for apnea – Should I refile a claim?
      • Adding Background information in your post will help members understand what information you are looking for so they can assist you in finding it.
Rephrase the question: I was diagnosed with apnea in service and received a CPAP machine, but the claim was denied in 2008. Should I refile?

    • Question B. I may have PTSD- how can I be sure?
      • See how the details below give us a better understanding of what you’re claiming.
Rephrase the question: I was involved in a traumatic incident on base in 1974 and have had nightmares ever since, but I did not go to mental health while enlisted. How can I get help?

This gives members a starting point to ask clarifying questions like “Can you post the Reasons for Denial of your claim?”
