Question

I had an appeal mental health C&P exam last month ordered by the AMC.
I tried to get a copy of the exam a couple of weeks later and was told
by the ROI that the Dr would not release a copy because I had to get it
from the RO whom had requested it. They didn't request it, the AMC did was
what I told her. She said that it was sent to the RO and to contact them.
I called the 800# and was told that they had not received the results yet,
but to write a letter and request a copy and when they received the results
a copy would be sent to me. I did this a couple of weeks back.
I decided to call today to find out if they had received the results and guess
what the H*LL I was told; "We don't have your records here and have not had them
since Jan' 09. Your records are at the AMC so all your exam results will be sent
to them." I told him what the previous conversation was with their office, and as
usual he stated; " I don't know why you were told that, because we don't have your
records."
He said the AMC received the exam results on Aug' 25th and they will be the AMC will
make a decision and then notify me. I guess my results are floating around in cyber
space some where.
What is the normal procedure in this situation? I know their is nothing normal about
the VA, but there must be some way I can find out where the results are. I have never
been able to contact the AMC concerning anything.
