back in 92 or 93 I got it at the end of summer it took forever to shake it even with the meds but then I started having cardiac issues and haven't had it since then

I am with Philip on this-

I got my flu shot yesterday as part of regular check up with my doctor.I got a coupon in email from Walgreens or somewhere for their shots but wondered the same thing he did.

My doc told me the H1N1 Flu shot is mandated now as part of the regular flu shot.

Pete - that sounds like a wonderful celebration.FAX ME SOME CAKE!

My daughter was home recently for a visit and we demolished 2 dozen chocolate cupcakes very quickly.I heard that chocolate is good for heart health- had my annual EKG yesterday too and I have a healthy heart and am a chocoholic so maybe there is something to that.I think good chocolate has oxidents in it?

As far as the flu shot at a grocery store......I'll pass on that, but for each their own! I would prefer to have it in a medical environment.....jmo!

Thanks for the replies and our celebration was lovely. We are expecting our fourth grand child this December. My Grand kids and our dogs give me and Mrs Pete a lot of joy.

As far as the Grocery Store Flu shot there were no crowds, the shot was private and not like they did when I was in the Army and for that matter not like the cattle call at the VA.

I got a flu shot today in a bus at the VAMC in Tampa. In a bus and boy does my arm hurt.
