Va Fax

Question

Forgive me if this is a repeat question. I am on retirement leave from the Army and I underwent my C and P exam in July, however I recently received additional info to be added to my records prior to me receiving a rating. My actual retirement date is 31 Oct 2010 and I was told by VA (someone over the 800#) the best way to add info to my packet was to fax it. I do not have a VA laison per say because I moved from MO to GA since my retirement. I faxed all additional info to the place they (VA rep) told me to fax too, is this proper proceedure?

If it were me I would follow up anything faxed with hard copies mailed to the VA

I agree, I now fax everything twice, and overnight a hard copy with a return receipt-that is to insure they can't say information was not received

I have been faxing my stuff for the VA for the past year! Seems to get there quicker and I usually follow up with an Iris a couple of weeks later just to check and see if they got it.

No problems at all yet! Knock on wood!

I cannot afford to FEDEX it, I think my best option is to hope and pray VA do the right thing once they receive my FAX. Can you please give me an estimate of what you think I will receive as for as Compensation.

1. GERD (polyps removed from stomach) I take Nexium.

2. ED (Cialis)

3. OAB (over active bladder) take Vesicare

4. Hemmorroids

5. Enlarge Prostate (polyps removed)

6. Skin disorder (feet and face)

7. Testalgia (must receive shots in testicles once every three months)

8. SCARS from surgery

9. Lower Back (bulging disks at 3 levels, disectomy) (I take Exalgo)

10. Hips (do to back problems) take Pennsaid)

11. Knees (do to back) take pennsaid

12. Osteoritis (of all joints) diagnosed by a doctor

13. Sleep Apnea w/ CPAP (diagnosed)

14. Depression (do to pain)

15. I wear a Back Brace and tens Unit.

I take a regiment of pills including EXALGO which is a Morphine pill. I cannot work once I fully retire because of the pain. If I don't receive 100% I will immediatly file for IU. Are there any steps I should take now before I fully retire on 31 OCT 2010? All claims have been service connected and documented.

Not sure on a ratings for all of these but I can tell you with a shopping list like that it may take the RO some time.

I would also recommend that on this forum it is always better to start your on topic so you will get more answers directed to your specific question.

I do have one question though. How have you been able to do your required duties??

My last two years in the Army has been a total disaster. I had a Chain of Command that was somewhat understandable, I would be on quarters 1-2 weeks per month for the past two years. Becasue of the medication and the Pain in my body, I would not be able to hardly think let alone drive myself to work. I forgot to mention, I also claimed Insomnia. I take Lunesta (sleeping pills) I cannot sleep no more than two hours per night. I normally go to bed at 10pm and would be up at 1:30am. Miserable life indeed.
