Question

Does anyone out there know the current staus of this bill. For those that are unaware of it here are the basics of it. Since the late 1900's if you are receiving disability compensation and a retired pension from the military the amount that you receive for the disability is deducted from your pension. This only applies if you are rated less than 50%. Those rated 50% and over receive both with no deduction from your pension. H. R. 303 would do away with the (veterans tax) penalty. I cannot find anything beyond 2009 on the bill. Guess they let it die in commitee that's congress's way of not doing anything. I know there is a phase in period that ends in 2013 that will permanently end the penalty for everyone. Anyway if anyone knows anything new about H.R. 303 please reply.
