Heriditary Angioedema

Question

I have talked to a person that was in the Navy for only 11 weeks. They were medically discharged under honorable conditions. The reason for the medical discharge was that they would swell, arms, hands, etc. It turned out that this person has Angioedema. Did he/she spend enough time in the Navy for any VA benefits? If so, would it have to be that the military aggravated the disease?

When were they in? There is a time frame established by the military for required time served.

Also if this was a pre exiting condition that would come into play too.
