I think the American Legion has a good idea here as the VA sure doesn't seem to ask us for any problems we have with our VAROs.

If you have a problem with the RO you send you letter to the IG. That is what will get them to go to the RO earlier to do their inspection.

The IG didnt tell me that-when I complained about my RO- they said my problems with the RO were outside their jurisdiction.

At some point the IG does go into the ROs to see what is what.Maybe you had a better experience with the IG than I did.
