I’m a little confused, if the VA says you are 100% and SMC (S-1), what does that mean?  Thanks

It means they determined you are either Housebound by your SC disability or you have a 60% or higher rating for an additional independent SC.(or combo)

Example - say you are rated 100% P & T for PTSD and then have additional 60 % rating for  SC asthma- that too equals SMC.

The rate chart is here somewhere. It means extra compensation is added to your 100% comp.
