Question

Hello

I was awarded 100% PTSD

20% hearing loss

10% tinnitus

I have ssdi and filed for TDIU but was given 100% P&T

Does than mean I get this the rest of my life

Where can I find information about P&T

Is it perminate, tempertary ?

Do I have exams in the future?

Thanks

P&T = Permanent and Total Disability.....Yes the rest of your natural life....Kind of like a P3 Profile in the Army, once you get it there is no coming off of it.

Good example for TDIU would be my situation: Rated 40% but could be paid 100% if I was unemployable due to my service connection. Hope that helps...

Did the VA consider you for Housebound SMC? Does your rating say anything about agoraphobia or social phobia? Does it say you have fear of leaving your house or safe zone? This could be basis of housebound. You are close to the actual percentage anyway. I mention this because the VA is supposed to consider vets like you for housebound. They don't have to award it but they should consider it. It should say they considered it and why they did not grant it. This is what the VBM says. As far as I know the VA never considers HB unless you are 160% and/or you claim it.

Your "award" letter should state whether there are or are not "future exams scheduled".............which, of course, there SHOULD NOT BE..........simply because you are "Permanent & Total" rated.

Do not forget about the other benefits that a 100% P&T rating gets you.
