Disability Ratings Over 100%

Rate this question

Question

This is probably the dumbest question you have ever seen posted. I have been seeing Vets with a Disability rating higher than 100%.

Does that mean they get more than the 100% pay? Go ahead and laugh.....hey, at least I'm trying to learn.

Thank you!

SMC is an inferred issue mandated to be considered by VA raters whenever the medical evidence warrants it.

http://www.vba.va.gov/bln/21/Rates/comp02.htm

The R-2 level of SMC for example is -if vet has one wife , one child- 7,909 per month per the SMC ratng chart in this link.

The SMC S is sort of a hybrid -the higher levels except for Q and K awards depend on medical evidence that puts the veteran into the progressive steps to the highest level of SMC.

Te SMC regs are within 38 USC 1114.
