I currently have a NOD for an increase for Depresion 2nd dairy to SC pain 10% and DDD of 10%. I have called the 800# and was told ???? that my NOD is ready to be decided( new exam, increase, etc..) but I frogot to include the TDIU in my NOD.

Should I wait and see what is decided or NOD the TDIU asap. I am still in the 1 year window but closing in to quickly?

If a decision denies more than one claim, the NOD can cover both of them or be filed separately (which I advise)-same decision can be referred to in both NODs, but let them know these are NODs on separate decisions that might be within the same letter.

I would NOD right away anything they denied in the denial letter.

Tell them this NOD is in addition to the other NOD regarding claim for other denial.

The NOD is probably the most important document you file early on in the claims process.

It is a frontal attack on a VA decision.

I cant see sending them some generic NOD-(like many vet reps do)

when the fact is a NOD can alter the outcome of the claim itself. I had them turn on at least 3 denials with receipt of my NODs- in which I told them exactly why they were wrong , sent copies of the specific regs that showed they were wrong,and I called their attention to (and attached)in the NOD-the evidence they had ignored.
