Question

Just found out that appeals going through this RO will take 6 to 18 months. That's from the time they get the NOD letter. Don't know what the rest of the country looks like but, this ain't good.

boomer,

I am with this same VARO.

Heck - it will probably be 6-18 months for them to even ask you if you want a DRO De Novo Review

or the traditional appeals process and even longer for a decision.

The St. Pete VARO is also famous for losing your documents so be sure you have receipts for everything you send them. I use them and I have had to fight for every single benefit I ever got from St. Pete.

None of the VARO's work claims very fast. They work on their time and low speed. So you better strap on your seat belt as you are in for the ride of your life...some for years, some still pursuing for years too!

Thanks for the advice, I got a big box full of all of my Army records and I keep everything I send them. Once told my wife if there is ever a house fire the box goes first and I'll come back and get her.

LOL OMG that is funny!!!! I told my wife the same thing!!!!! j/k

BTW I also use St Pete and I haven't had a problem with them. I think the issue is the case load is overwhelming them at this time for some reason.
