Dic Question

Question

hi all;

i am back with another question. i was asked a question i probably should know the answer to. of course, i do not. i looked on the internet and couldn't find the answer there. a lady i met asked me the following question:

she just received her dic award and is very nervous and was wandering if it can ever be canceled or taken away. i told her to call the va and ask.

i thought maybe someone here could help me with the answer so if i see her in the doctors office again i can tell her.

again i thank you all for all your help.

She is free to remarry after age 57, however, she has to inform the VA when she does. She will still keep her benefits.

Thanks, Sharon, for correcting me!!! The nice thing about being corrected is I tend to remember, even better, because I've been corrected. Thanks again!!

You can keep your monthly VA ck if you remarry after 57 years old, but, you will not be able to keep your Health Ins. The Health Ins. is gone forever if you remarry......
