Question

Question, I retired from the Army in 2010 and was awarded 100% in Feb 2011, my first VA appt is next month. How often do and will the VA schedule a new C and P exam? This is my first VA visit...

Was you awarded P&T with your 100% ? If yes, you don't have to worry about other C&P's in the future. If no, I believe it's every 5 years.

There may be a scheduled exam date on the award letter.

Usually around 2 years after the award.

P and T is your ultimate goal.

You can file an appeal on the fact you were denied Chapter 35 (P&T) and submit evidence that your disability is permanent. This is what I did because I was not going to another thing C&P exam for the same thing I had been dealing with for 30 years. I won my appeal and even got an earlier effective date out of it. What was your effective date? If you filed within one year of discharge your effective date should have been one day after discharge!
