P&t- Can I Apply

Question

63 yrs old, Viet Nam Special Forces SOG Vet,

Married with two boys under 10 yrs ols

Been 100% PTSD since 2008, I think, but not P&T

Need P&t for the boys education.

Can I apply for this or do I have to wait for VA and another C&P??

Sure, apply now. Why wait! They'll probably call you in, for another C&P, but may not.

Do you use a VSO? Have you applied for P&T yet? If so, when did you apply? Have you heard anything back already? Will probably take some months before you hear, and did you send in any more evidence?

At your age and rating getting P&T should be easy to get. Just my opinion for what it is worth. You may even have it. You would also get Insurance for the dependents and other benefits.

My rant for the day. Unless 100% is temporary for recovery period I think all 100% should be the same.

If you claim is not final you can file an appeal if you are turned down for Chapter 35 benefits. I did this as soon as I got TDIU. Within one year I had P&T. I would not wait at all if I were 63 years old and 100%. Are you on SSD?
