When I got low-balled at 50%, I retained a NOVA lawyer. He helped me file my NOD and when I was awarded 100% without a hearing, he said no charge for his help. He is also my Social Security lawyer, and we are being fought every inch of the way. At the Social Security Appeals Council now, and should hear back in the next couple of months, as it has been there for a year now. My NOVA lawyer says that he will even take my case to US District Court, if need be. This is just to let you know that some lawyers can be committed to your case.
