Dear master-p, Our start up business is named Pennelot. PENNELOT is geared towards homeless Vets. and homeless women and children in general ,to incuclude homeless people that is in need of help getting back in the civilian world off the streets and to self-sufficiency.

I CD Walker 28 years was a DOD employee and now as of 2007 I am retired and have teamed up with my cousin to do this program R Williams spent 20 years Criminal Justice having Enforcement a portion of her time also spent developing jobs for felons primarily,as well as monitoring their performances.

PENNELOT is structured as Non-profit which began in 2010.

These are some of the services that Pennelot will provide VA assessment, temporary housing, job development, transitional housing, vocational counseling, job training,VA.benefits, vocational rehab, medical care additional health care will be provided by a licensed family practitioner.

Again our ultimate goal is self-sufficiency for our clients.

On March 9th 2010 we went to a city council meeting to make our presenation for our program to let it be known how very important our program is needed in this area because the programs that are in the area are insufficient to meet the needs of our clients.

All that we are asking is that the city donate the old houses that they are going to tear down or to be moved where as the soliders can use them to restore them to live in them. Help is coming along but not fast enough for what we have going on.

Addiitional relief that is life changing for those who have given so much to us,can we give back?

We would like to thank father GOD for every and all things in our lives and always will put the big guy first and foremost.

Pennelot lot is asking for you help sir along with others that we ask that you would share this information with all that you can to help us we would be grateful.

Hope to hear from you soon we can be contacted at 484 kent st. Breaux Bridge La. 70517 or P.O.Box 557 Cecilia La. 337-332-0878,0r 337442-0422.

Yes. Just goes to show how ineffective the VA's homeless programs are. If those were really working, Vets would not be that desperate. Vets are desperate to speed up the claim.

II think there should be a law inacted to cover the predetory activities of individuals or companies that prey on the Disabled, Elferly and children. This Law should carry more serious consequences for these idiots.

Basser.

A Veteran is a person who served this country. Treat them with respect.

A Disabled Veteran is a person who served this country and bears the scars of that service regardless of when or where they served.

Treat them with the upmost respect. I do. Rejection is not a sign of failure. Failure is not an option, Medical opinions and evidence wins claims. Trust in others is a virtue but you take the T out of Trust and you are left with Rust so be wise about who you are dealing with.

    • These decisions have made a big impact on how VA disability claims are handled, giving veterans more chances to get benefits and clearing up important issues.

      Service Connection

      Frost v. Shulkin (2017)
This case established that for secondary service connection claims, the primary service-connected disability does not need to be service-connected or diagnosed at the time the secondary condition is incurred 1. This allows veterans to potentially receive secondary service connection for conditions that developed before their primary condition was officially service-connected.

      Saunders v. Wilkie (2018)
The Federal Circuit ruled that pain alone, without an accompanying diagnosed condition, can constitute a disability for VA compensation purposes if it results in functional impairment 1. This overturned previous precedent that required an underlying pathology for pain to be considered a disability.

      Effective Dates

      Martinez v. McDonough (2023)
This case dealt with the denial of an earlier effective date for a total disability rating based on individual unemployability (TDIU) 2. It addressed issues around the validity of appeal withdrawals and the consideration of cognitive impairment in such decisions.

    • I met with a VSO today at my VA Hospital who was very knowledgeable and very helpful.  We decided I should submit a few new claims which we did.  He told me that he didn't need copies of my military records that showed my sick call notations related to any of the claims.  He said that the VA now has entire military medical record on file and would find the record(s) in their own file.  It seemed odd to me as my service dates back to  1981 and spans 34 years through my retirement in 2015.  It sure seemed to make more sense for me to give him copies of my military medical record pages that document the injuries as I'd already had them with me.  He didn't want my copies.  Anyone have any information on this.  Much thanks in advance.

    • Caluza Triangle defines what is necessary for service connection
Caluza Triangle – Caluza vs Brown defined what is necessary for service connection. See COVA– CALUZA V. BROWN–TOTAL RECALL

This has to be MEDICALLY Documented in your records:

Current Diagnosis.   (No diagnosis, no Service Connection.)

      In-Service Event or Aggravation.
Nexus (link- cause and effect- connection) or Doctor’s Statement close to: “The Veteran’s (current diagnosis) is at least as likely due to x Event in military service”
