Question

I have applied for SSDI based on my 100% P&T TDIU rating from the VA. Today I got a letter from social security stating I have been denied SSI because I make to much money. That is OK since I never applied for SSI. Do you thank this is a just a form letter they send out and has nothing to do with my SSDI claim.

It is common that when a person files for SSDI, SSA will have them sign a bunch of papers and they could have signed you up for SSI even though you make too much money. It is normal for a 50% to 100% veteran to be denied a claim for SSI due to income and it has nothing to do with SSDI. You should still call SSA to make sure that you still have a pending claims for SSDI. SSI and SSDI are two different claims.

Its been over 20 years but that is same thing Social Security did to me. Denied me for something I did not apply for.

Its nothing to worry about but like Carlie says call them and have them explain it to you.

Why worry be happy.
