“RIVIERA BEACH ‑ A seven-month undercover investigation has led to the arrest of more than a dozen people involved in illegal sales of narcotics at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Riviera Beach.

Warrants have been issued for 21 people. Those already taken into custody include veterans, medical center employees and associates, said Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Capt. Eric Coleman.”

Its always the pain and anziety meds that get lost in the mail.

I live in Florida and the VA sent my pain meds to Maine. They swore I came in and changed my address. I got upset because I had to make a trip to the VAMC and spend a day arguing with them. I got the drugs but it really bugged me. If I got to the pharmacy it takes two hours to get the pills because they do some sort of special checking for narcotic meds. They are probably trying to figure out how to steal them.

I was recently in the emergency room where they offered me morphine for pain. I declined. However when I got a copy of the notes in the mail(always get a copy for every visit) it stated they gave me morphine. I wonder if this was a typo or if someone kept it?
