If a widow is collecting va death pensions & takes over legal custody of her grandchildren - are they dependants & does she get paid for them? Thanks for any info. I am not sure if they would pay additional pension benefits- if the child or children receive any support or income at all like a social service benefit- that would be deducted from the pension anyhow- however- I would sure look into this and see what the VA regs reveal- I cannot get a response from Google- my aol net is down (yet I got here on AOL ???)
