There could be a state or local property tax exemption-

Here we get a local widow's exemption if the vet was 100% P & T at death, and vets get two types of exemptions-

one for war time and one for service connection.

I would check with your county Veteran's Service Agency or local tax office.

I am pretty sure I have a dependent's ID card for commissary priviledges too.

If you receive DIC, are you entittled to other benefits as well...

such as the state benefits and commissary privelage and so forth...

Just thought of this and decided to ask..

every state is different,but each state offers benifts to veterans,i live in new jersey,if you are 100% we get free taxes, on our homes,we also have free veterans care centers run by our state free bus to take you to va hospital,new jersey is very good to veterans. we have a home in florida,and i know they offer free taxes on your home, but not much else,if you go to the state you live in on their web page you will find your answer frank

sbrewer,you did ask me a question i overlooked,hope you see my answer to your question yes we do get,commissary and all privelege,can also thavel anywhere in world and stay on base wherever we go,my wife and son also have champ va,and that is free,meds,are also free,but we don,t use champ va or meds,a i was a union carpenter,so our medical and meds are covered by them
