SSA personnal could not tell me what amount or when will I get my 1st check or backpay money. Anyone have any answers for me? Thanks Veterans friends. Birth date on Benefits paid on 1st - 10th Second Wednesday 11th - 20th Third Wednesday 21st - 31st Fourth Wednesday For example, your date of birth is June 16. Your monthly retirement check will be paid on the third Wednesday of every month. Lump sum payment may be on different day. I'd expect something within the next 2 weeks! You can get an estimate by going to the SSA site and plugging in your numbers. You will get a notice that you will be eligible for medicare in two years as well. From what I hear getting SSD is much slower these days with a huge backlog sort of like the VA. I congradulate you. You should have your retro money fairly soon. There is no retro money for the first five months of the claim time. You should get your 1st regular payment in Oct and it will be for Sept.
