I have documentation and Lab results saying all genetic tests for iron overload are negative. I claimed blood disorder of unknown origin ( to include iron overload) undiagnosed illness. Now when I get my c&p exam will it have to be a specialist since that is who they will have to argue that my iron overload is genetic. In other words if the va doctor days it is genetic, and I have a specialist say all genetic tests are negative who is right?

My first question would be - what is the current diagnosed disability that is the result

of this ?

From what I remember specialist are only required for

Mental Health, Audiology, Opthamologist/Optometrist and Dental conditions.

That is the thing. So dar the hematologist hasn't given it a name other than iron overload NOS. I have asked the Doc what else it could be if it isn't genetic. Hr states iron overload unspecified. Only thing left is environmental.

Again, must a hematologist dispute my hematologist, or will a regular doctor at c&p hold up?????
