Question

Hello fellow vets,

Two weeks ago I had my Gulf War Reg exam. Today, I went to the release of records department of the VA, and picked up the progress notes of the exam. The notes really doesn't say much, however, the doctor did place a statement paragraph in short it says, in his medical opinion I was exposed to unknown toxic waste and hazardous environmental conditions.

My question is will I receive a a more formal letter on the examination?

I took the exam at Tampa VA, I can't get any one to give me straight answer on results. The progress notes are so vague, don't know what's going on. My question is will there be an official notice in the mail of results?

By regulation they are to send you a letter. Many of them in the past have not been to helpful. Keep in mind that doing the exam does not start a claim.

When or if you get the letter, I have never did on the 4 exams I took, you can write back if you disagree. You can do the same if you go to the WRIISC for a follow on exam.
