Change In Va Wavier

Rate this question

Deacon 2011

Question

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes.

I've rec'd two updated Retiree Account Statements in the last two weeks, today the most obvious change I noticed was a decrease in my VA Wavier amount from $25 to $5 effective Feb. 1. Not complaining since this adds a few extra $ each month (saw a decrease in taxes and increase, small one, in retirement pay and VA compensation).

I've read post on forums here and others regarding CRDP and VA Wavier but I'm still perplexed on the matter. Initially, I thought it may have been COLA related but after reading and using some of the calculators regarding CRDP... no luck.

Anyone other retirees notice a similar change?

2014 is when the waiver amount ends. So, what you are seeing is another decrease in the amount being with held I believe it is around 99.4 % for next year is what you will get from your crdp pay. I just posted in another forum about CRDP.

As VA pays a month behind, A February payment is actually for a January pay. And that is when there will be a pay increase as well-February. Very confusing.

My pay for VA waiver went from 16.00 to 24.00 as I went from 50% to 70%. However in February, it will go back down due to less being with held.
