Hi, Im bewildered by all of this. I feel brain damaged with the ptsd, how do yall remember all of this stuff. I really dont know what Ill do, if they turn me down again. Its been a tough row to hoe, no sht. Im lucky to be alive, because Ive tried the other way, not my time I guess.

Will a congressional oversight help or hurt more.

If you have the PTSD diagnopsis from te VA and also you were able to send the VA any evidence they requested in te VCAA letter they sent regarding your claim, the best thing to do is try to wait it out or their decision.

Congressmen and women cannot help a caim to succeed.Only medical evidence can do that.

Your evidence must overcome the Reason and Bases they stated in the denial.

I have a vso. Ive been turned down 6 x. Im getting ready to ask for them to open my appeal back up, with some documentation from me (3 drs letters, and my old vet ctr therapists nexuss). Ptsd is in my med records, but from my childhood, which is wrong. Other than my therapist my drs never spent more than 5 mins w/ me, much less make me open up about childhood, IF it was an issue. M.

I feel SO alone, and with my underbelly showing..My last clim was in 2000. I made the mistake of saying in my 15 page letter that went with the claim, tht "if this claim isnt approeved, I cant go thru this again, its too painful." Then I got the NOD, disapproved. the letter was so mean, and I personalized every word,sylabble. So much that It tokk me until this past year to be able to face it again. Im thinking no 15 page letter. Do I need to writye a letter at all, they dont need another script. Seriously, do I need to write a letter with this request to open for appeal. M.

If the decision has become final you will need to submit what VBA defines as New & Material (N&M) evidence.

You can use the search feature for their definition.

I think it would help you alot to study 38 CFR - Parts 3 & 4 - links are on the homepage.

It sounds like your claim issues are past the allotted time frame for an appeal.

If you feel up to it - it might be helpful if you can post exactly what is stated in the Reasons and Bases

section of the denial - without personal data like name, SS #, address, etc . . .

Hi Carlie! It is, you are right. I submitted nothing but the Nexus, ever. My vso leads me to believe that the drs. letters stating unequivocally that these things are scd's.Also, the last denial claimed Id no evidence of an abortion, but my smr's reflect that it happned and I had a one month check up post abortion. Im thinking, hoping these things are enuff.They arent va drs, but still.....My records from va med. say Ive borderline pers disorder, and thats not true. Per all my Civilain Drs. I wouldnt go for va med if my life depended on it, st pete is THAT BAD, and biased against women, IMO M.
